25 Years in 2025 Celebration

This booklet commemorates 25 years of the Ormond Netball Club—a journey that began with a single team of enthusiastic young players and has grown into a vibrant, community-focused club. Over the past quarter-century, 950 players, 190 coaches, 160 Team Managers, and countless parents and carers have contributed to the Club’s success.

Both Wendy Frost and Jodi Weston, the club founders, shared a lifelong love of netball and were motivated to create the same enjoyment of the sport for their daughters.

While not formally a club at the outset, the first team they established laid the foundation for what would become the Ormond Netball Club.

Wendy brought extensive playing experience, having represented Australia in U16, South Australia U21 and Open, and being a member of the Australian Open Squad in 1982, providing the Club with a strong and passionate start.

Jodi, also an experienced netballer, contributed her organisational skills, managing the logistics required to coordinate one, then multiple teams and embedding the Club into the local community.

The purpose of this booklet is to honour our history, celebrate the players, families, coaches, committees, and volunteers who have shaped the Club, and share the milestones, memories, and moments that define our journey. It captures the spirit of fun, teamwork, and community that has driven the Club’s growth and success, both on and off the court.

The club has a limited number of printed booklets available.  If you would like to acquire one of these, please contact the club
